The king had announced a contest for Princess Lalu Mata, accepting suitors who could fashion garments from gold and "suasa," a blend of gold and copper. Fueled by a fervent curiosity and determination, Banta resolved to test his destiny. With his mother's blessing, armed with only a taro leaf and his cherished flute, Banta embarked on his journey.

Aboard his uncle's vessel, Banta traversed the vast ocean buoyed by a single taro leaf. After days adrift and a taxing voyage, he landed on an isle inhabited by adept weavers. In a dwelling, Banta discovered the gold-infused fabric he sought. Undeterred, he offered his flute mastery in exchange for the cloth.

Yet, Banta's elation was shattered when his uncle, the cunning Jakub, seized the precious fabric. Despite a heavy heart, Banta continued toward the king's palace, only to arrive amidst the nuptial celebrations of Princess Lalu Mata and Jakub. Lacking evidence to assert his ownership of the cloth, Banta felt helpless.

Suddenly, an eagle soared overhead, its resonant voice reverberating, "Click... click... click... the gold fabric and "suasa" belong to Banta Berensyah!" Ultimately, the king and Princess Lalu Mata recognized Jakub's usurpation of another's possessions. In a panic, Jakub attempted escape, leaping from a window, but fate intervened, causing a fatal fall. Subsequently, Banta Berensyah was wedded to Princess Lalu Mata, and in admiration of his courage and honesty, the king relinquished his throne to her.
