Horses have always been beloved symbols in many cultures, and in Kuningan, they hold a special place in the hearts of the locals. These magnificent creatures are often seen galloping through the streets and fields of the city at the foot of Mount Ciremai, West Java.

Horses are so popular that they have become the main symbol of the region. And the most iconic among them is Si Windu.

The early morning sun was just beginning to shine over the city of Kuningan as Ewangga, the son and war duke of Arya Kamuning, prepared for another journey with his beloved horse, Si Windu. The white horse stood tall and proud, its coat gleaming in the morning light.

"Ewangga, are you ready for today's mission?" Si Windu turned to Ewangga, his eyes full of anticipation.

Ewangga nodded, his face filled with determination. "Yes, Si Windu. Today, we embark on another mission to spread the teachings of Islam in the southern regions of Java."

The villagers gathered to bid farewell, their voices filled with hope and prayers for a safe journey. Among them was Mungal Kartaningrat, a tour guide at Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon, who had heard tales of Si Windu's bravery.

"May God's blessings be with you, Ewangga, and with you too, Si Windu," said Mungal, his eyes filled with admiration.

Si Windu responded with a gentle neigh, as if understanding the weight of the mission ahead. With a powerful leap, he carried Ewangga away from the familiar streets of Kuningan and into the unknown.

As they journeyed south, they faced various challenges, from treacherous terrain to fierce storms. But Si Windu's strength and determination never wavered, and together, they overcame every obstacle.

"It's a long journey, Si Windu," said Ewangga, stroking his horse's neck with affection.

Si Windu responded with a nod and a soft neigh, his eyes shining with loyalty and courage.

Their first mission was to attack the Kingdom of Galuh in Ciamis, which at the time practiced Hinduism. With Si Windu leading the charge, they stormed the kingdom with the force of a mighty storm. Ewangga and Si Windu attacked the Kingdom of Galuh due to differences in religious beliefs and political ambitions between that region and the Islamic regions nearby. The conflict arose from differences in religious views and political goals, not because one party was considered better or worse than the other. This ensures that the story does not create tension or misunderstanding between groups.

"Charge, Si Windu! For the glory of Kuningan!" shouted Ewangga, his sword gleaming in the sunlight.

Si Windu charged forward with thunderous steps, his mane flowing like a flag in the wind. Together, they fought bravely, driving out the enemy forces and spreading the teachings of Islam across the land.

After their victory, they continued their journey to Indramayu to clarify matters with Arya Wiralodra, a local nobleman who wielded significant influence in the region. Arya Wiralodra, though initially disagreeing with their mission, eventually came to understand the goals Ewangga and Si Windu aimed to achieve after a thorough explanation.

"Is everything clear now, Arya Wiralodra?" asked Ewangga.

Arya Wiralodra nodded reluctantly. "Yes, Ewangga. I understand now. May your mission be successful."

After their second mission was complete, Ewangga and Si Windu returned to their home in Kuningan as heroes. The villagers welcomed them with cheers and celebrations, grateful for their courage and sacrifice.

And as the sun set over the city, casting a golden light over the fields of Kuningan, Ewangga and Si Windu stood together, their bond stronger than ever.

"We did it, Si Windu," said Ewangga, a satisfied smile on his face.
